No, no, NO!!! There is SO much more to being a sister! A sister is someone you can always confide in, someone to laugh/cry with, someone to make inside jokes with, someone to get mad at for no reason and then hug and make up the next minute, someone to look up to, someone to shop with, someone to always love, someone who will always be there for you, someone you can TRULY call your best friend!!!!

I seriously have the most amazing sisters ever! and I'm not kidding. I know that they were put in to my life for a reason. I love them all individually for their own reasons and they each mean so much to me...I don't think they even realize! They are ALL truly my best friends that I will cherish for the rest of my life! I don't think many people can say that...I just feel so fortunate and lucky. I'm glad I get to have them for eternity! ;)

I just finished having two of the most meaningful conversations with two of my sisters and it meant the world to me. I feel SO much better now!!! So thanks jonni and ally.

What would I do without these amazing, beautiful, ladies?!

Here is me today at work...BORED!! It finally got busy after 2.

Last night, FHE was so much fun...I will have to write about it when I get some pictures and time :)

Tonight is institute! YAY! I love it because you go so much more in depth than you would on your own personal scripture study time. Which by the way...I have been doing so good at! :) it is my goal to finish the Book of Mormon by the end of 2011 and so far I will be completing it by that time. It is so sad to think that I have not done this sooner! It is AMAZING how just by reading the scriptures and saying your prayers you can have and feel the spirit SO much! Why did I never do this before?! Even though we hear it over and over again! I guess we are all only human and have the natural man tendencies in us. But I am just so excited that I am making these changes in my life and trying to be the best disciple of Christ that I can be. It'll take time...but nothing in life is easy! :)

Mainly just for myself and so my sister jonni, who is away at college, can stay updated with my life since she got rid of her Facebook :( anyways...I don't really have an exciting life, but we'll see what I come up with! Memorial Day

First of all let me start off by saying that i am SO thankful to live in our wonderful country and have the freedoms that we have. I am so grateful for men and women who are willing to fight and defend for our country. And i think we often times forget about the past heros who sacrificed so much for us...without them our country would not be the same! We had a lesson yesterday at church by our bishop and it was about our country and how blessed we are...so it just kind of reminded me and made me think! :o) So thank you to those who have served and continue to serve for me and my country!!

and on to the festivities...

My family didn't have anything spectacular planned, but it still turned out to be fun! (i am just happy that i got 4 days off of work...it was a nice break :o) ) Lauren had heard about a Strawberry festival near Disneyland...so we thought it would be fun to go and see what it was like. i mean i LOVE strawberries :o) Let's just say it wasn't anything great at all...it was actually quite a joke. well i guess to what we expected it to be. it was just more like a carnival with a few booths of strawberry desserts and what not. But it was still fun just walking around and hanging out with eachother...and better than just staying home! we also stopped by this little park across the street and watched the ducks int he pond...and we discovered lots and lots of turtles! they all just had their heads popping out..it was kinda cute :o) and then after that we had to stop by a 7-eleven because we kept telling matti we would get a slurpee after since she didn't get to go on any of the rides. hehe. and i discovered a crystal light slurpee that was good! woohoo...lower points on WW :o)

Tea Party

Saturday, May 29th my ward had a Relief Society 'herbal tea party'! haha, yes we had to say herbal :o) and it was SO MUCH FUN! We had it at Sister Laidlaw's house (who is the second counselors wife) and let me tell you...her back yard is gorgeous! and it was just a gorgeous day in general..not too hot and not too cold, just perfect weather. Sister Laidlaw and the relief society presidency spent alot of time and preperation making it look wonderful! There were several different herbal teas to try (which i found out i am not too fond of tea, but still fun to try) and lots of little yummy finger foods. Then they shared how tea party's started and a cute poem. And then all of us girls just chatted away for several hours. It was such a fun Saturday afternoon activity!! :o)

*and i am sad that i didn't take more pictures...i am trying to get some emailed to me, so if i get them i will add them!

Wait...is my last post really dated march 14th? umm yes...yes it is! haha. my seester ally commented and told me that i was well over due for a new post :o) and i'd have to agree. for some reason i am addicted to the blogging world and have a huge google reader and love reading other peoples posts', but never seem to get around to doing my own...oh well!

So for a brief recap of my life. i was planning on going and moving back to utah and living with my bestie natalie and seester ally, but now they will both not be up there so i figured why move and try to find a new salon to work at and build a whole new clientele, when i am actually doing pretty well here in claremont at 'forte'. quite a few people are actually coming back and requesting! woohoo. and you know i really did not like my singles ward. but i figured out that it was pretty much just because of me and my attitude. i made a promise to myself that i would have a more positive attitute and actually try and attend activities to meet people...and that i have been doing! :o) i am really liking it and meeting new people. yay! actually one of the activities that i went to was 'crochet night'. oh my gosh...it is SO fun!! but you should have seen me the first night...i was a-w-f-u-l! haha. so i went home and just kept youtubing different videos to practice all the stitches...and now i can do it! and it is addicting to say the least. jonni has gotten really into it as well and so we have fun plannign new projects together. i will have to post pictures of the stuff i end up making :o) ALSO along with all this church stuff i got a new calling in my ward. i am now the fourth sunday relief society teacher. yikes! i was so nervous and gave my first lesson last sunday. it went ok...i am just hoping next time my nerves don't get the best of me!

another HUGE thing that happened was yesterday i started Weight Watcher's (yes it is my fourth time haha!) but i think i am going to post all my progress with WW on my other blog which is: www.thechubbydiaries.blogspot.com so make sure to check that every so often too! :o)

Keratin Complex

I am so excited because tomorrow i am going to take a class at a salon for the "Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy" by Coppola! I don't know the details about it...just that it de-frizzes your hair and leaves it smooth! i am really excited to try something new :o) i might try it on jonni after...so if i do i will tell you how it goes...

Yes, my last post was the day before Christmas...can we say pathetic?! haha. Sometimes i just feel like i have NOTHING exciting going on in my life and nothing to say on here. But i will try to be creative and find things to write!

DECEMBER:

I had a fabulous Christmas. Spending time with friends and family and reflecting on the birth of our Savior! :o) AND to top it off a got a few really nice gifts! I got 2 beautiful necklaces...one is 4 inertwined hearts that ally gave to all 4 of us sisters...it represents each of us and our love...AWW! haha. and the other was from marmy and parpy and it was 3 hair charms on a pretty chain (blow dryer, scissors and a comb) So i love them and wear them both often!! and i also got Gossip Girl season 1 and 2 dvd's...yes i am addicted! drama, but i love it! haha. and then just other little, cute stuff!

and i'm sure more stuff happened...but of course i can't remember details (which is why i should blog haha)

JANUARY:

Let's ring in the NEW YEAR! I had so many great goal's for myself [you can read them hear]...and they have almost all stopped. [what a shocker!] haha. but i am still trying to be better and improve myself! :o) But me and my family just had our usual New Year's night (since not going to the Rose Parade the last few years) ...playing games, lots of eating (ally's quote of the night: "eat, drink, and be merry...for tomorrow me DIET!" hahaha. that we did!! l0l) laughing and going out side at midnight, having a countdown, throwing confetti in the air, screaming, banging pots and pans (yes, we still use pots and pans haha) and taking lots of pictures!! :o)

and BIG NEWS is that seester (ally) got a job up in Utah teaching special ed...so she left us! *tear* it all happened within a few weeks. Ally and i spent every day together and worked close to eachother so we would eat lunch together often. So i miss my best friend! (but hopefully next fall i will be up in utah living with her and natalie...another post to come haha)

FEBRUARY:

This is the month i was seriously contemplating working on a cruise ship doing hair. I was not very happy with my current job working at Forte Salon...i felt like i was building any clientele and my life was kinda just blah and boring. So i wanted to have some fun and travel! i STILL really wish i could go to a different country and either live there for a while or just travel lots :o) but anyways...i heard lots of stories of how they treat you like crap doing hair on the cuise line and you really dont get paid lots for the hours you put in. i don't know. i kinda just gave up on that idea haha.

I also gave my little niece her first official hair cut! [when she was a few months old i evened out the fuzzy's on the back of her head] it was just looking too mullety so we needed to take a little off the ends. Her mommy was smart and brought a portable dvd player to watch "pooh" and keep her occupied. She actually did REALLY well and loved the whole experience. She is totally a girly girl! And then there was Valentine's Day! i personally like Valentine's Day...and i don't have someone "special" to spend it with. To me it's just one day to really show your love and appreciation to those you love and care about. why not? yes...you can and should do that every day...but you can go above and beyond and just have fun!! :o) So for our Valentine's day (we actually celebrated on saturday) the Hunter's (my brother in law's sister and family) were down visiting so we all had dinner at my parents house. we had spaghetti with sausage, garlic bread, salad, and after we made chocolate covered strawberries! It was delish! Then, we watched "Love Happens." So it was a fun night! :o)

My 21st Birthday!

September 8th i had my 21st Birthday! :o) You know what that means...drinking!!!! haha jk...I'm not gunna drink. anyways...i feel so much older! {NOT} haha. People still ask me if I'm still in high school...lame! but my mom says i will be happy for that when i get older and still look good. let's hope! :o)

But i had a great Birthday and Birthday weekend! It started off with my little sister Jonni writing all over the bathroom mirrors...loved it! and then i got lots of phone calls, texts, facebook comments (haha), and cards! let's just say i have amazing friends and family!

On your Birthday Disneyland gives you a free pass, but since i already have an annual pass they give you $72 worth of merchandise on a card. Awesome! So me and the marmy headed down to Disneyland to have some fun for a few hours. On the way home we went to Souplantation...my fav! Thanks mom for an awesome day!

Then later that day i came home to roses! Ally gave me some gorgeous roses...i mean what girl doesn't love flowers?! thanks sister!!

That night we had dinner and dessert! We got Donut Man glazed donuts and had it with ice cream, strawberries, and chocolate...yum! my family even sang to me! haha.

My Birthday weekend we decided to stay in a hotel and have a little getaway! A friend of ours (JJ) gave us an awesome deal on a hotel so we got to stay in the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa, which was amazing! When we got there we saw that JJ had left we a little Birthday surprise...Drinks, fruit and chocolate dipped strawberries! It was awesome :o)

The night we got there we went out to dinner at Olive Garden! One of our fav's...especially when it's unlimited pasta for $9! Then we stayed up late swimming and hanging out in the hot tub {we were so excited that the pool was open 24hrs}!

The next say we spent several hours just having fun at the pool. the pool was huge! {see my dad way out there sitting by himself? who knows? haha}

That afternoon we went to the Oceanside Pier and just walked around...

While walking on the pier we came across this pelican. It was really cool! This little girl walking by told us that they bite...but that didn't stop my dad. haha. testing it's limit...

The next morning we checked out of our hotel. After breakfast we went to the LDS San Diego Temple. I love this temple! Here is the whole family...

Today is such an awesome day 09/09/09! So here are nine things I did today, nine things I will do in September, and nine things I hope to do by the end of 2009!

9th:

Went to the gym and did cardio.
Did Camilla's hair while talking and having fun!
Tried "The Tracy Anderson Method" workout DVD Camilla gave me.
Went to Costco with sisters and marmy.
Admired the beautiful roses Ally gave me for my Birthday.
Wore a new shirt and earrings.
Watched lots of new Wednesday shows (too many!)
First institute class of the semester: The Book of Mormon!
Blogged (finally!)

(wow...and there was so much more i did today)

September (09):

Find a salon to work in.
Work out at least 5 times a week.
Read a new book.
Find new crafts to do & finish old ones (headbands)
Service (look in to working at the children's hospital)

My little niecer just had her 1st Birthday the 26th! (read about it) I can't believe that she is already ONE YEAR OLD! Crazy! but i love her SO much!!!! She makes my life so much happier! I think she is the cutest thing ever (i'm not biased or anything haha) and i am so happy she has joined our family! LOVE YOU MATTI!

I was just playing around with my moms camera the other day and these are a few that i liked of our little matti! :o)

Yay...it has arrived! My new Blackberry tour! :o) I have always been on my Dad's Business plan...but he told me it is time that i start paying for my own...tear! haha. So i got to upgrade my phone and i chose the Blackberry. So far i am liking it alot, but it is also very confusing. I just really need to sit down for a few hours and read the manual and play around with it. I hear everyone loves them...i'm excited! :o) [p.s. if you have a blackberry and got any tips for me...go ahead and share them!]

So why is finding a Birthday present for my Dad SO dang hard?! Every year we struggle with what to get him...he has gotten so much stuff that he never uses, that it just collects dust in the corner of his room. So this year me and ally wanted to get him something...but again the question of what?! We thought about Glenn Beck's book "Common Sense" (but they didn't have it in audio at Target and lets just say that he hasn't read a book since 5th grade. ha), cute T-shirts he could wear to work, TV series DVD episodes, etc. AND THEN i had this fabulous idea of getting him a new phone cover for his blackberry since his clip broke. Finally something he might actually need and enjoy! :o) So we go to an AT&T store since it was by Target, even though we have Sprint, and of course they didn't have it! and my mom said "why don't we just ask them if they know where the nearest Sprint store is?" whaaat? are you serious mom...this is another company, we aren't going to ask them! haha. me and ally thought it was funny. so we finally find a Sprint store and of course they didn't have it either...dang it! So i guess parpy wasn't getting anything from us! haha. But we did end up going to Wood Ranch for his Birthday (most delicious place ever) and eating tons of their yummy garlic rolls...mmmm! (guess i wasn't counting my calories today!) and lauren, matt and jonni ended up finding the audio book for him. and today we had a special dinner for him with a chocolate, mint and chip, ice cream cake ally made...it was absolutely DELISH! :P Thanks sister!

Anyways, we had a great weekend celebrating our Dad's 50th Birthday!!! As jonni put it, "he is half way to a hundred! wow!" haha.

4th of July Weekend

H A P P Y 4TH O F J U L Y !

I had a really great 4th of July weekend! :o) It started on Friday with a bbq/hanging out and playing games. We painted finger nails...made bracelets...and ate lots of good food! After dinner we borrowed Grandpa's projector and made our own little outside thaetre...it was so fun! (definately something we want to invest in) We watched National Treasure 2 and ate lots of popcorn and red vines and peanut m&m's and milk duds. haha. (yea and i wonder why i can't lose any weight?!) Then Lauren and Matt and Matti decided to spend the night. So we all go to bed and then Saturday morning get woken up by Patriotic music :o) (it's Matt's favorite holiday) but it was fun! Having Matt in the family makes 4th of July more exciting :o) We had a yummy breakfast and chatted with family. After we finished we went over to Grandma Hartley's and swam for a few hours (workin on my tan) We came home and had a yummy bbq then got ready...i did my eyes like a flag: red white and blue...so patriotic! haha. After that we went to our friends house in La Habra. Kristen and JJ Chitwood invited us to hang out with their family and watch the fire work show across the street at the high school. It was a really good show and we are glad we went! It was such a fun weekend with family and friends! I am so grateful to live in such a wonderful Country where we have so many freedoms to enjoy! I am so gratful for everyone who has and continues to make that possible for me! :o) Hope everyone else had a fabulous weekend with family and friends!

Yay...it's Disneyland! :o) It's been fun having a pass and being able to go so often. Me, my mom, Jonni and her friend Cameron went to DL the other day. It was lots of fun!

Spring Cleaning...

Woo Hoo! It's SPRING...which means it's time to clean! haha.

Things i need to do sometime this week:

Go through my closet and de-clutter for the DI pick up. I have so much clothes and shoes that i never wear...just taking up space!
Just simply clean my room. (i.e. laundry, clean sheets, organize dresser, etc.)
Get everything together and organized to start studying for my state board tests.
Help marmy clean the house.

Valentines Day 2009!

Valentins this year was SO much fun! :o) Us kids didn't want to try and face the crowd at a restaurant so we just decided to have our own dinner and fun at our house. We wanted to make it special! We decided to have an italian "candle light dinner" haha. It was a blast! We had some little tea light canldes in the shape of a heart...goblet glasses...red plates...sparkling cidar & a yummy red punch...and then our spaghetti and bread! Delish!! :o) And then we had the lights dimmed with some classical music playing...it really felt like we were at a restaurant! We said this is going to be our tradition every year from now on! hehe.

Ok...so for like the millionth time in my life i am trying to lose weight! :o) But this time i feel really motivated! (Wait...havn't i said that before too?! haha) Anyways...there is this site that i found that i LOVE! It keeps me motivated and i joined a few groups where you support eachother and weigh in every week and give eachother advice and tips. You have a profile where it tells you how many calories you should be eating for how many pounds you want to lose each week. So you track your daily food/calories and daily exercise. It is a really cool site and i love that they have free stuff like this! Lauren has also joined it with me and we have both lost weight already! YAY...go us! :o)

Ally's Birthday!

Since you can get into Disneyland for free on your birthday we (The Clark clan plus Matt, Laur and Matti) decided to go for my sister, Ally's birthday (January 19th)!!! But if you're already an Annual Passholder, you can get a birthday fun card in the amount equal to the price of a 1-Day park ticket to buy whatever you want (I think that's so cool). So, we all decided to get annual passes this year! And as a sidenote, if you ever get an annual pass, get one at Costco because the second highest annual pass is $250 which is the same price at Disneyland, but Costco gives you a free $50 gift card (which you can put toward parking if you want) and then if you go on your birthday you get a $70 giftcard, so that's $120 for free!!! And i am so excited to have a pass because i can go whenever i want to (well except for some block out days) and a few of my friends have them too! :o) I love Disneyland! P.S. i am going tomorrow for a few hours for my Grandma Clark's birthday and then again next Thursday for my aunt Jenae's birthday!! So fun! :o)

We had a fun day even though it was a bit crowded since it was a holiday! Oh and these pictures are all going to be out of order...but oh well! You get to see them...right? :o)

Vegas/Morgan's wedding...

We went to Las Vegas for my cousin Morgan's wedding (January 10) and just to have a relaxing, fun time! We were lucky enough to be able to stay in our Aunt and Uncles condo over the weekend so that we didn't have to pay for a hotel...and it was beautiful! It was better than staying in a hotel...we had more beds and bathrooms and even a kitchen, so we made breakfast in the mornings. And the best part was the gorgeous clubhouse with several pools and hot tubs with a view of the Las Vegas Lake.

New Years!

So i realized it has been a month since i have posted...how sad! Anyways...new years this year was fun! It hasn't been our usual going to the Rose Parade and sleeping out the past few years, but still fun. (possibly we will be going to the rose parade next year) So it started with a yummy dinner at our house...RIBS (my fav). Later in the evening Natalie and her boyfriend, jake, and her brother, davis, came over to join in on the fun! We played rock band and ate lots of yummy junk food! Then at midnight we went in to the street (yes...we are the ONLY neighbors who even go out and celebrate...lame) and threw our confetti. "Happy New Years!!!" And of course toasted to a new year! I feel like 2009 is going to be a fabulous year! I have made a few goals...and so far so good! :o)

Job Update

I was very happy at Tai Pan Trading...until i got laid off! Annoying!!! :( I was one of the 30 total to get laid off...isn't that insane?! The annoying part--i went in to Tai Pan yesterday, December 29, to get something for my aunt. All of my managers said hi to me and everything. Well i get home and later that night had a message on my phone from Fred, my manager, that he needed to tell me something and to call him as soon as possible. I had a feeling what he wanted to tell me...yikes! I was nervous, but still called...and sure enough he told me that they just had too many people working for the amount of hours they could give out and i was one of the last people to be hired. SAD! I was soo angry that they just didn't tell me when i was there...instead had to do it over the phone! Rage! And then they want me to come in to work on Friday (the one day i was scheduled) to pick up my check...I'm sorry, but I'm not driving a half hour just to get my check...please send! Thanks! ha.

The funny thing is...my friend, Camilla, still works at v choc and she told me that today they were running around trying to find people who were coming in because it was so crazy...but they figured out that nobody was...because nobody was scheduled! haha. She said there were 3 or 4 registers open with about 10 people in each line...haha! Maybe they got rid of too many people?! :o)

Anyways...that's my job update--JOBLESS, yet again! :( Boo Hoo! [[but i realize this might be a good thing for me--maybe it will make me finally get my California cosmo license like i should have forever ago!]]

Christmas 2008!

Christmas was fun this year...although i do have to admit that it didn't feel much like Christmas. Me and Ally have come to the conclusion that it is because we didn't come home for Christmas and have a real "break". Instead we just lived our every day to day lives and still had work and what not. But STILL...Christmas was wonderful! I just love this holiday season! :o)

So we had our family Christmas get together with the Wayde Clark family a week earlier...so that way they didn't have to drive down from San Diego on Christmas day. It was a fun dinner and it was nice to get to see the family we don't always get to see! :o) (and we took family pictures that day...future post to come)

On Christmas Eve we spent the day at our house with Matt and Lauren and Grandma and Grandpa Hartley. We ate lots of good food and had fun together as a family. We have a tradition to open pajamas on Christmas Eve. I love it...because if you know me you know that i LIVE in pajamas! ha. Once i come home i put my pajama pants on :o) Then we went to bed (and we made a bed on our floor so Jonni could sleep with us) and just waited for Santa to come! ;o)

CHRISTMAS DAY! What a wonderful, happy day! :o) We slept in until 9:30...no more waking up at 6:00am like when we were little. haha. Both of our Grandma's came over and we opened our stockings...my FAVORITE part! We have these amazing stockings that someone made for us that are knitted so they are huge and can stretch HUGE. ha. So we get lots of fun stuff in our stockings! :o) After we waited around until Lauren and Matt came over. My Dad was the 'Santa' and passed our presents as we watched each person open a gift. (P.S. my Dad came out in these Santa boxer shorts...we were seriously peeing! It was hilarious!) I got an MP3 player (yay!), skull candy ear phones, DVDs, a CD (daughtry), make-up book (that i LOVE), movie tickets and more! :o) After that we all had breakfast (Christmas morning casserole...a Skousen tradition...yummy!) and then just played around with Lauren and Matt's new Wii. We were lazy and did whatever. And then for dinner we went over to Grandma Clark's and had dinner with Kent and Heidi's family. Overall, great day! :o) Lots of fun spending time with the family and enjoying each others company!

We look like total crap, but i couldn't help posting it because of Mattison! She is adorable!!!

Can you guys believe Christmas is almost here?! Time has flown by! :o) And guess what?! I still have shopping to do...i went today and tried finding stuff that i wanted to get and couldn't find any of it! Bummer! I might go out shopping tonight some more...we'll see!

This week has been good...I worked, did lots of peoples hair, went to Disneyland (which made me happy because i hadn't been in a long time!), my best friend is home! (love you Natalie), had a Clark family Christmas dinner and took a family pic, and didn't have work today...so i got to relax and have fun! But the sucky thing is i feel like i am starting to get sick...boo hoo! I keep sneezing and have the sniffles. I have been taking AirBourne and hope it starts working!

Oh...and Jonni got her license! CRAZY! :o)

Things i am looking forward to:

(Ok...so picture me doing the Skousen's 'so long, farewell' song and saying...) "Goooodbyeee--Gooodbyeee--Goodbyeeeeeee!!" haha. When i said goodbye that last part of the song is all i could think of while waving! :o) Love it!

Anyways...It is officially goodbye to Lame Bryant! How funny that i was just saying yesterday that i was so annoyed with them. Well i worked last night from 5-11 (suppose to at least). So i get to work and do my thing. So i had done a few 'projects' they wanted me to do and finished them. While i am in the middle of my next 'project' with Nanette, another co-worker yells to me (at about 7:15)..."oh and Maria (my manager) says you can go!" -- "like for the night?!" -- "yea, she says we are just too slow." No duh...maybe because you have 7 workers here...LITERALLY, 7 people working on a Wednesday night-- again, LAME! I was so irritated because she sent only me home when she only gave me 9 hours that week to begin with. So i was leaving and i saw Maria. I went up and told her that i wouldn't be able to work next week because i was working every day at my other job. She told me "well that's a problem because i already made the schedule and scheduled you" -- "oh, I'm sorry i told rosemary last week when she told you my other hours that i wasn't going to be able to work the next week at all." -- "Well i make the schedule...you need to tell ME!" I'm sorry that's it's only Wednesday Maria!!! Eesh! So she told me that i needed to figure out which was more a priority and i told her the few hours just weren't good enough for me...so that was that. She says she will call in all my hours and i can go get my check. I am actually soo relieved that i don't work there anymore! I am a lot happier with the decision i made! :o)

So then i get home and my family is all confused...haha. But i got to eat dinner with them and then Ally was going to color my hair, but we ended up doing some Christmas shopping for a co-workers name she has. After a few hours of shopping...Me, Ally and my Mom decided we want a milkshake, even when it is pouring rain! haha. So we stop off at Legends, our favorite place! It's a little fifties diner place that is decorated with all this old, vintage stuff. It's fun! They seriously know us and probably what we are going to order most the time. hehe. Maybe that's a bad thing? :o) So we just talked and ate...it was fun!

Then we got home...i watched 'Day of our Lives' with my Mom--it's a little obsession of ours. haha. I've only gotten into it the last few months. And then after that read some TWILIGHT! :o) I think it's my third time. (p.s. totally was disappointed with the movie. it has noooothing on the books! what do you guys think?!) And then just went to bed!

Oh and before work i cut and colored JoLynn's hair. She is my mom's cousin and a usual. :o) And a few minutes later a friend from church came over and i cut her fringe (not bangs...FRINGE! l0l). It makes me want to get my license more and more. I love doing hair and want to work in a salon! I am so stupid and procrastinate everything! Oh well!

YES...it has been almost 2 months since i have posted a blog--i am HORRIBLE! So, since i feel like i never have anything to blog about, my solution is just going to be to make my blog more generic and more like a journal--not of just events that have happened. That way hopefully i will do it more often and every few days! :o) And yes...i do have a boring life right now! haha.

ANYWAYS! So what has been happening in my life?! (If you really want to know details you should check out my sister, Lauren's, blog.) Well i have been having a good time living in California with all my family. That's the part i LOVE! :o) If it weren't for them i would be back in Utah in a heart beat...but i love being my family and my new niece--who by the way i just adore! Mattison has been such a joy in my life...she really just seems to make me happy when i am not having the best day. We see her pretty much every day because "grandma" (isn't that weird to think...my moms a grandma! haha) babysits and what not--and i love that! She is such a happy baby and we just adore her to no end!! :o)

THANKSGIVING was alot of fun! We didn't have a huge crowd this year...just our family and grandma and grandpa hartley and cliff, jenette and chelsea came down to celebrate with us this year too. We sat around and talked, played games and ate lots of YUMMY food! We really have to thank my mom for that...she is seriously and AWESOME cook and spent the whole day cooking! My mom is wonderful and pretty much the best mom anyone could ever have! :o) So sometimes i feel like my life is boring and that i do nothing...but i really do have alot to be thankful for!

HAIR! So i am trying to grow my hair out. I don't want it to be super long--just like a medium length. I got it cut about a month ago more even so i can grow it out. And pretty much i miss my hair stylist back in Utah. But i like it enough and am excited to see it a little longer for a change! :o)

MY JOBS! So i havn't really said much about my jobs...maybe because it is so complicated! haha. You all know that i work at Lane Bryant--or LAME Bryant as me and my family like to call it. haha. I wasn't getting enough hours and when i got the job our manager had told us if we needed to get another job she would be totally fine with that. Well, i got another job and it seemed quite the opposite. She seemed kinda mad, which made me mad! haha. I didn't care because i was happier with my new job at "V Chocolates" (inside Tai Pan Trading). So Lame Bryant continued to even give me less hours...like 9 hours at most a week...yea, LAME! So i liked the job at V Chocolates...it was so easy! I sad behind this tiny little counter and sold chocolates--which was rare because they are expensive and not many people wanted them. haha. But we had one problem...we didn't like our manager! She was so dumb and irritating. Well, to make a long story short, she got fired and she had hired waaay to many girls for what we needed. So i was pretty much out a job. UNTIL Tai Pan Trading came to the rescue! They offered me and another girl, Camilla (who i LOVE! :o)), a job as a cashier at their store and still get the same pay! (which is $12 and hour...amazing!) So now i am a cashier at Tai Pan Trading and absolutely LOVE it! (and i am very lucky i still have a job because they just let off 15 people total. yikes!) I am so much happier there than i was at V Chocolates. I am hoping to get more hours there and leave Lame Bryant! :o) Let's hope! And if you have not been to Tai Pan Trading...YOU SHOULD!!! CHRISTMAS! I love this holiday season! That's why i love going to work every day--because it's filled with Christmas stuff and such a fun place to be. I love that it is raining! It seems more like winter :o) I also love listening to all the Christmas music! You know, sometimes we all make it so stressful--like my family trying to figure out what to wear for our pictures we are taking on sunday. And me not knowing what to get Ally for her gift! haha. But really it shouldn't be! It should be something we love and look forward to...celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! The love that we have for each other and just that holiday cheer everyone has! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas this year and really think about the true meaning of it all!

Many of you know what our "gate" looked like before...blue barrels! Haha! We got one of our dogs several years ago and needed something to keep them from wandering out...which is why we had the blue barrels. They were suppose to be temporary...but you know how things go in the Clark house! :o) We had them for years and my mom would always bug my dad about getting a real gate...and it never happened! WELLLL everyone- we finally got a beautiful gate!!! :o)

Just some detailHaha. So the dogs LOVED us working out here. They felt so special to be by us. They stayed right behind the fence the whole time. They were making us laugh! "Oh no! I cut Lauren's hair a few weeks ago. I loved the way it turned out! :o) I am trying to somewhat grow my hair out (like mid shoulder area) and seeing these pictures AND considering how ugly i look during the process of growing my hair out, makes me want to chop it all off again! My cat, Kitsy, makes me laugh! :o) She will curl up and get all cozy in the funniest places! Here is her most recent favorite place to lay...Mattison's bouncer! Haha! She's a cutie! :o)

Oh, and see the picture of the computer? Well one morning at 4am i heard Kitsy meowing and clawing at papers on my desk (she wanted out!) When i hear her do this i get furious! I just want to sleep you dumb cat! l0l. Well the next morning i heard Ally say, "OH MY GOSH!!" I go in to the room and find this...Kitsy had clawed on her lap top keys and picked them off. This wasn't even all of them. Ally still hasn't figured out how to put the last 2 on. You crazy cat!

L.A. County Fair

We went to the L.A. County Fair near the end of September. Before, we weren't sure if we would be able to go because we figured Lauren would still be pregnant...but little Matti came EARLY! :0) So we were excited that we got to go. We just went one night for a few hours and walked through all the exibits. Me and my sisters have been wanting a permanent toe ring and we found some at one of the exibit stations! YAY! It's a small silver one made with little dots. I like it! We also love the fair because of the animals! We spent a lot of time at the animal area...and here are a few of the pictures (well, the only pictures we actually took at the fair, haha)

So my job has been good so far...just kinda annoying because i don't know where everything is yet (like when people ask questions i have to say "well let me go ask my manager" ANNOYING!) and it sucks having to learn new things...like the cash register! But atleast i am making some sort of money. I just wish my hair stuff would get going better because i could make so much more money doing that. SO COME GET YOUR HAIR DONE! :) But i like my managers and co-workers...they are really nice and willing to help me! Let's hope i can get a hang of things FAST!

LANE BRYANT

So i am very excited...i am now an employee of Lane Bryant, yup...it's the chubby store! :) It's perfect for me because i get to wear all the cute clothes that fit me. haha. And it is an awesome discount...40%!! I am just so excited to finally get money! I go in on Sunday to fill out papers and get to know the store and what i have to do. I am so excited!!! :)

Weight Watchers

So, my weight is just becoming rediculous! :) ha. Hence the reason i am doing weight watchers. ("yea, heeence!" haha. have you seen house bunny?) Anyways...i am very excited to get started! My mom is going to the meetings on saturday mornings and i am just going to do it on my own and weigh in on saturdays at home. I hope i can do it this time! I know that this program works and if i stick to it i can look fabulous! GO ME! :) haha.

Has anyone ever done weight watchers and if so do you have any low point, favorite recipes? Or any work out ideas that you like? I need motivation and support! :)

It's official...Lauren and Matt had their beautiful baby GIRL yesterday, August 26, 2008 at 2:22 p.m.. Her name is Mattison Brooke Skousen. She was a little chunky monkey weighing in at 10 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches long! She is just so sweet and we love her sooo much!!! Let's just say that this little girl is going to be SPOILED! haha. Grandma has already bought her new clothes and everything! :) So i would post some pictures...but i can't get them on this computer yet. I posted just a few yesterday on Lauren's blog...so you should take a look. BUT we went to see her today and she looks so much different already! It's crazy! I just love holding her and cuddling with her, so much! :) I am definately going to be the favorite aunt! haha. So check within this week for pictures and more stories! We love you Mattison!!

BEACH TRIP/FAMILY REUNION

A few weeks ago our family had a "Brooke's Reunion." It was alot of fun and i got to catch up with family that i had not seen in a very long time. The first day we went to Huntington Beach, which is our fav! We spent the day there and ended up having a bon fire and dinner. Fun, fun! Here are some pictures from the day...

DODGER GAME!!!

Each year, the Dodgers Stadium hosts a "Mormon Night." This year they were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks, and sadly the Dodgers lost (2 to 1)...honestly, it was a very boring game and therefore I found myself watching the people around me instead of the game, lol! We were a bit upset, because the Dodger's Stadium is set up really dumb and so it took us forever to get to our seats, so we missed Elder L. Tom Perry throwing the first pitch of the game! We still had a great time though!

Funny story...so this is when we were in utah visiting. we had gotten ready at the skousen's and at this point we were at janae's house visiting with melissa and janae and christy. we were all talking and ally just starts busting up laughing! we were so confused and kept asking what happened! she just kept laughing and said "look at my feet" so we did and at first none of us really noticed. but look closely! she has mis-matched flip flops on! haha. and then we look over at matt's feet...and so does he! l0l. we all started busting up. it was pretty funny! matt earlier went to put his on and saw one and just out the other one right next to his on...well it was ally's! the funny thing is we had been doing stuff for a while and they JUST then noticed! pretty funny! :]

BACK TRACKING...trip to utah!

First off, i need to tell you about my frustrations!!! I have all of my pictures that i want to use on Ally's computer (like i said earlier) and i put all of these pictures i wanted to use into their own folder to make it easier. Well for a few days now i have been wanting to post SEVERAL blogs....and every time i go toupload the pictures it wont let me!!!! it just does the upload thing for like an hour! so i decided to try and see if it would work from thr web. and sure enough...it did! how stupid! so i have to add all my pics now to the internet and then get them from the site to here through the URL. can we say annoying?! haha. ok. done with that. :] on to the post!

This is the Utah trip that Ally, me, Lauren, and Matt took about a month after we had left Utah. We went up for Jenny & Ben's wedding (lauren and matt's sister) ...and for andrew's blessing. (missy's little boy & lauren and matt's nephew) Me and Ally were so excited to go back to utah because at this point we really missed it and all of our friends. Plus, every time we spend time with the Skousen's we have a blast. I love their family! So...the day before we were going to leave we had to go to good 'ol Provo and visit the BEST FRIEND, natalie!! :] We went to costa vida of course and enjoyed a yummy meal. It was awesome because before i left i told my boss i wanted free meal cards so i didn't have to pay when i came back. haha. he said that would be fine, but he had to re-order them still. Sooo...when i go there to visit everyone he gave me 10 free meal cards. PRETTY COOL! :] and we didn't have to use them that day because my good friend jenn who works there hooked us all up anyways :] then after that we went to BYU campus and of course got an ice cream at the creamery and then we had to get byu creamery ranch and chocolate milk to bring home! if you have not tried either of those...you have to!! amazing!!!! :] we met up with natalie and had a blast! after that we went to her apartment and cut her hair (later post with pics for that) and went in the hot tub and just talked and had a good time! life as great! i miss utah ALOT!!!!

So...Lauren taught me this little trick =] I know that you all (well most of you, i'm sure) love to get on to blogspot and go down your whole list to see who has a new update...maybe even several times a day? haha. Well....I DID! Maybe alot of you already know this, but i didn't, and it saves you alot of time and effort! ha. So i got a Gmail account just for this. This is what you do: (hopefully i got it right)
1. Get a Gmail account, if you don't already have one.
2. Sign in, and on the top left hand side it will say "Reader". Push that.
3. It will open up a new window for you and on the bottom left hand side it will say "+ Add Subscription". Push that.
4. Then you go down all your list (this is where it takes a while) and find their URL for their site and put it in the box and push "add". (and if you ever add a new blogger you have to go back and add their URL)
5. When you are all done with your list you should have everyones blog listed under there and you can just go back to "Reader" every day and the people who have new posts will be highlighted.

Anyone who already knows how to do this...did i explain it right? haha. Well i thought i would let you in on my new obsession with blogspot! I LOVE IT!

YES...that was me coming through on my NEW BIKE!!!! yay! It is a pink roxie schwinn beach cruiser...and it is so cute! I am excited because we are going to the beach tomorrow and riding our bikes, since matt and jonni also have new beach cruisers. We are going for a bike ride and then laying out and swimming...and then coming home and having a bar-b-q! So tomorrow should be a fun day!! =]

OUR POOL...

So last year my family bought an above the ground pool to put up, since we don't have a pool and it gets so dang hot in California. Me and Ally weren't here all summer last year, but we came for a few weeks and spent alot of time in that pool. So i was looking forward to puting up it up again this year. We really wanted to put it up in our backyard, this year, but once again our father said "NO!" So grandma's house it was again! We finished puting it up on Saturday and today was the first day we got to enjoy it. Let me just say, it was so dang nice!!! I love being out in the pool and getting some nice color! Hopefully by the end of the summer i will be nice and dark =] hehe.second:

THE BACHELORETTE...

So like i said in an earlier post, i LOVE tv shows! and the bachelorett is definately one of those! =] At first Deanna wasn't my favorite...but i have really started to like her. I feel like she is so honest and seriously in it to find love. Soooo....my favorites!!

So this is going to be one boring post, but atleast you will have some kind of update on my life? =] So i think it has been about almost a month that me and Ally have moved back to California with our family. It has been really nice to be with family but i really miss Provo! So i am so excited that me and Ally are going up with Matt and Lauren to Jenny's wedding so we can visit a few friends on the way out of Utah! And of course i am so excited that i get to eat some COSTA VIDA!!!! Yum!
Anyways...job hunting? Not so much! =[ I really wanted to work in a salon down here, but i have to get my California Cosmetolegy License first...which is a pain! I havn't really done my part it figuring out what i need to do really...so i need to get working on that! So since i couldn't work in a salon for a while i wanted to work at MAC cosmetics. I love make-up and just think it would be so much fun (like i said in an earlier post). So i gave my resume to them, but didn't hear back from them. So my new ideas are working at Sephora (another make-up place) and maybe Curves (the womens gym). I just need to start doing something! I am getting bored and need more money to help out the parentals! Grrr...why do i not have any motivation to do anything! haha.
Oh, my face also had an allergic reaction...sad! My forhead was breaking out and i was getting so sick of it! So Lauren use to use Murad (a really good, but expensive face wash) and Jonni has some too. I wanted to buy some, but decided to try it out for a day and see if i liked it before i forked out all that money on face wash. Well i am allergic to Sulfa and so i have to be careful and read ingrediants before i eat or use things. I saw that there was some form of sulfa in it, but i thought i would still try it. WELL...i had consequences the morning after and still do! My face was RED and itched like crazy...and i look like an umpa lumpa (chubby face haha!). So i hope it goes away...otherwise i will have to go get a shot from the doctors...and guess what, Taylor has NO insurance! Isn't that fun? haha.
AND last but not least...i am going to be an aunt in about 3 months!! Lauren is due September 7th (hopefully the 8th hehe) and i can't wait to be the favorite aunt! haha. That has been a major plus, watching Laur get bigger and bigger every day!

Last night was the season finale of Grey's Anatomy...my FAVORITE show!! It was sooo good!!! =] Me and Ally were going crazy near the end with excitement! The only story i haaate is the Calli and Erica...sick! But i was so excited that the chief is back with his wife....Alex kissed Izzy....and George gets to re-take his test (sweet, adorable george!!)...and BEST, Meredith and Derik are back together!!! How exciting! I can't wait until next season!!!! (and i am mad that they jipped us like 3 months of the show...stupid writers strike)

Wow...i look like i am totally addicted to TV! haha...2 new recent post are only about tv shows! haha! I just love my certain shows...and having tivo at the house makes everything easier to watch =]

Oh man...I am soooo angry!! I just love love David Archuleta! When he sang tonight with One Republic i was even more in love! He is just so cute and sweet and such a good singer! Not that i hate David Cook...i actually enjoy some of his songs, but he is just so cocky and annoying to me!! i thought for sure archuleta would win! OH WELL!! i know he will still get a record label! haha. my votes were still all for david archuleta! love you!! hahaha!

NEW HAIR

Soooo...i got my hair cut and colored one last time before i head back to california. I love the color! For those of you who know "color" i did a Paul Mitchell the color 4CM and 4VR. So it is a deep violet color, which is pretty much what i did last time. My cut on the other hand...i have to get use to! I mean, it is really cute and all, but just short! And the sad thing is...i TOLD him to keep cutting it shorter in the front. BUT, it will last longer while i don't have a stylist in cali =] So that has to grow on me. And maybe i will post a picture in a few days when i take one. OH! But i am way excited because i am getting a huge pallet of eye color for only $30! It has like every color you will EVER need, just little amounts and i am so excited! I will take a pic of that too when i get it! Well i hope you all are having a fabulous day! I only have 5 more days until i am leaving UTAH!!!! =] & =[ haha

So last week me, ally, and our friend andrea went to 'color me mine' because it was the ladies night and it was only a $2 studio fee! so i always hate these kinda things because i never know what i want to do! but i decided on a plate and to do it like a mary inglebright (spelling?) design. i think it turned out pretty cute!and anyways...it was SO much fun and so relaxing! =]

(sorry it's a little dark...you get the idea, right?)

and this is a picture of mine AND ally's! ally's turned out so cute! it looks like she almost bought it somewhere! but she did a little bowl or candy dish? with pink diamond things and white dots all around. and then on the inside in white writing it says "LIVE...LAUGH...LOVE" with hearts and dots. cute, huh?

COSTA VIDA! what can i say...i am completely addicted to this place! first of all, i work here, so i get it for free when i work...BUT even when i am not working me and ally go in and eat. the sad thing is...they love ally so much too that they either give it to her for FREE as well or really cheap! costa loves us and we love them! i am going to miss it sooo much when i move...but i have in-n-out to look forward to i guess! hehe.

NEXT...my new red shoes! mine look very similar to these...but they are just colid red and even the heel part and the bow is a little different. but me and ally went shopping to ross, of course, the other day and i founf them for $10...such a steel! so i had to get them...i so love them! we'll see how long i can last walking in them for. ohhh, and the hilarious thing (wish i had a picture to show) was that i showed them to jon lat night and he put them on...and we have the same size foot...and he kept walking up and down the house in them! it was soooo funny! me and ally couldn't stop laughing! i love jon...and will miss him too!! :(

FELICITY! me and ally randomly went to visit our cousin melissa one day...and she has all four seasons to Felicity. Ally has been rantong and raving about it so we decided to borrow it from her and start watching it (because i have never even seen one episode of it) and i LOVE it already! i just hope i will be able to finish before i live utah. oh and so far....i am a Noel fan! i just love him! although both Noel and Ben ane cuties! =] we'll see if my opinion changes later on

PAUL MITCHELL STRAIGHTENER! this is the new paul mitchell straightener...and i seriously just LOVE it!! =] my boss at my salon was selling 6 of them at the salon for only $60...which is an amazing price! retail they are going for about $200. so i was so excited and bought 2 of them...one for me and one for my mom for mothers day! it is such a good straightener and i am glad i got one. now i need to get one for my sister lauren, because her chi i got her broke...sad day! what would be do without fabulous straighteners these days?! =]

HARE KRISHNA!

So i havn't done a blog in a really long time...mainly because i always feel like i have nothing to write about. but i have fun reading everyone elses atleast! =] lets see here...last weekend i went to the "Hare krishna" festival of colors celebration with jon (who was my date) and ally and Jeremy (who was ally's date). and we all had SO much fun! =] view the link HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la9jeVzZ1fE) to see what it kinda looked like! it was so crazy! i was literally in the middle of all the chalk and i thought i was going to die because i could not breathe...kinda scary, but still had fun! so we got there and we saw this HUGE line....like seriously, rediculous line! and we realized it was to get color. so we were like, well stupid, we aren't going to wait in that line! so jon literally went right to front and vought some...took like 2 minutes? haha! sorry people! so we had our chalk to throw. and then we went and saw the inside of their temple...nothing special at all! and then we went and saw the lamas and jon got a kiss from one of them! haha. and then we saw the huge fish pond. OH...and jon wanted me to take a million pictures, and mostly by myself, and i get embaressed. but i have to admit, they turned out pretty cute! =] and then we watched the dacers, which was fun. and then the fire began, which starts the chalk throwing! umm...and where were ally and jeremy? no where to be found...with ALL the chalk that jon bought! haha. so we just sat there and didn't throw anything..it's fine...still fun! and i got loaded with colored chalk. then after we just stayed after and chanted there song thing and went crazy. and by that time it was FREEZING! so we left and went to dinner...costa of course! haha...all colored up! and everyone was staring, but it was so fun! GREAT DATE!! =] thanks jon!

One of my new obsessions is MAC! I love their make-up...i just wish i had all the money in the world to buy it! BUT...i am really really thinking it would be so fun to work there!! =] I have always loved doing make-up, i just don't know how good i am at doing it...so i wonder what i need to do! I wonder if they have classes and stuff to teach you?! i don't know! i just think it would be such a fun job! =]

How come i can't stick to weight watchers?!!? I was doing sooo good the first few weeks! And at this rate i think i am going to end up gaining more weight than what i started at! I am so depressed right now! I need a support group to help me...like family or a friend to do it with me! It would make it soo much easier and enjoyable! so...like i said, i needed to get out of utah! so me and ally decided to go to california and visit the family. oh my gosh...it is sooo worth it! it is still raining in cali, but SO much better than snow! snow is pretty and all, but i hate living in it! so it has just been fun to spend time with family and be lazy and relax from work and other stuff. and tomorrow we are going to disneyland!!! my brother in law, matt, works there and he is going to get me and ally in...FUN! thanks matt!! :] so i will for sure psot pictures and stuff in a few days!
